PLOVER, Wis. – Women in Trucking’s SiriusXM Road Dog Radio Show host Ellen Voie featured Ryan Hornack, Director of Marketing, on Saturday, February 13 to discuss the impact that marketing, diversity, sustainability, and community outreach have on recruiting.
Women in Trucking is a non-profit organization with the mission to bring gender diversity to transportation. For nearly a decade, Women in Trucking has focused on encouraging employment, addressing obstacles, and celebrating the success of women in the transportation industry. This weekly radio show features call-ins and interviews every Saturday with professionals from the trucking industry, sharing their stories of challenges and opportunities.
Hornack had the opportunity to speak on this on behalf of Fifth Wheel Freight.
Voie and Hornack discussed the power of diversity in the workplace, and how true change is initiated once a company’s diversity efforts are marketed. Hornack explained how FWF strives to emphasize the importance of diversity through team building, collaboration, and culture. He also addressed FWF’s Harmony Network, a group founded on the mission to educate, unite, and invite diversity among FWF employees and the community.
