FWF, West Michigan Companies Named Among Fastest-Growing in US

Hands in together as a team, Inc. 500 fastest growing company.

Inc. magazine published its list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America, and 28 West Michigan businesses made the cut this year.

The list, which was released Tuesday, represents a snapshot of the most successful companies within the American economy, and this year’s companies have proved resilient through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 and 2021.

Companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 list achieved a three-year average growth rate of 543%, and median revenue reached $11.1 million. Together, those companies added more than 610,000 jobs over the past three years.

Since its inception in 1982 as the Inc. 500, the list expanded in 2007 to include 5,000 of the nation’s most successful private companies.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” said Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk in the publication. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing.”

Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region and other criteria, can be found here.
