The first&nbsp;peak shipping season&nbsp;(August \u2013 October)&nbsp;is&nbsp;due to&nbsp;an&nbsp;increased&nbsp;demand&nbsp;for&nbsp;consumer products&nbsp;involving&nbsp;holidays such as&nbsp;Thanksgiving, Black Friday&nbsp;and Christmas.&nbsp;The second peak shipping season&nbsp;(January \u2013 February)&nbsp;is&nbsp;a result of the Chinese New Year,&nbsp;affecting&nbsp;production operations for the largest exporter in the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What to Expect for Peak Shipping Season 2021<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After the pandemic, peak shipping season in 2021 is projected to be more active than last year.&nbsp;As&nbsp;a result, there will be&nbsp;continued tight capacity and extended transit times.&nbsp;Furthermore, there has been a higher&nbsp;demand for freight transportation as a result of the pandemic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Effects of Peak Shipping Season&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>High shipping volumes&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Freight rates rise&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Transit times lengthen&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Increased freight shipping activity&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Demand&nbsp;for&nbsp;shipping services&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tight Capacity Market&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There has been increased demand for freight transportation since the pandemic.
