LANSING, Mich.- Michigan Celebrates Small Business (MCSB) held their annual awards gala Tuesday night in a celebration of businesses from across the state for their innovation, culture and growth. As a part of this event, FWF was recognized as a Michigan 50 Companies to Watch winner in 2020 and received their award along with the recipients from 2021. This recognition of business achievement was held in a formal event at the Breslin Center in Lansing, Michigan

MCSB brings together the resources of collaborative partners and supporters to raise awareness to the profile of small businesses throughout Michigan. The award gives the platform to be able to tell the stories of successful growing entrepreneurs and allows for building a network of entrepreneurial companies.

Companies nominated for the Michigan 50 Companies to Watch award must be second-stage companies, defined as having six to 99 full-time employees and generating $750,000 to $50 million in annual revenue or working capital from investors or grants. Additionally, the companies must be privately held and headquartered in Michigan.

Judges from economic and entrepreneurship development organizations selected the 2020 winners. The judges evaluated the nominees’ demonstration of intent and capacity to grow based on the following:

  • Employee or sales growth
  • Exceptional entrepreneurial leadership
  • Sustainable competitive advantage
  • Other notable factors that showcase the company’s success

FWF was honored to accept the award from MSCB  for overall development and continuous company growth.
